Sports Fan

We have covered how much Julia enjoyed swimming (ok ok splashing around is a more apt description), but it also seems she enjoys playing catch, a game she was introduced to this past Sunday. Perhaps we have a sports fan in our midst...

In the pics: Julia modeling an outfit Sarah and Tere brought for her and Tia Emma modeling a super fashionable robe.

Weekend Fun

We had some special visitors this weekend from Panama and Miami, with whom we very much enjoyed spending time with.
Julia with her great grandma Yolibu and Sarah.

Goofing around with Tere

We also took Julia to her first swimming lesson which was certainly fun for Julia; but more so, I suspect, for Tito who thoroughly loved the experience.

A short video of her first minutes in the water prior to the class (modeling sporty swim suit compliments of Tia Judy)

And a short video of the last minutes in the water after her class.

Finally here is Julia in a pool of balls, this time during Sergio´s 1st birthday party yesterday.

A great day... for both of us!

Finger Foods

Julia started finger foods a few weeks ago and all was well when it was only cheerios; now slippery food like bananas and papaya, have added a new level of difficulty.
Here is a sample video with some papaya and modeling a pucker up shirt Tia Yola sent her.

During play time she would much rather play with her mat than lay on it

First Words

W are very excited that Julia has spoken her first words.
She has opted to go the unconventional way and instead of mama or papa she says "enata", which is her way of saying Renata (our 1 and a half yr old neighbors name). As soon as Julia spots Renata during her morning strolls she goes nutty and starts yelling her name.
We believe this is the makings of a life long friendship because as soon as Renata sees Julita she herself screams gleefully "ahi ta Ulita!".
Julis has also incorporated to her vocabulary agua, pato (from the visits to the mountain) and an indiscriminate papa here and there. In any case, we are very happy to hear he babble her way through a day and look forward to more verbal discoveries.
Now for some pics of the weekend.
